Who am I?

My name is Sagi Buchbinder-Shadur. I'm a 29-year-old poet who lives in Atlanta, USA, with my wife, Lotem.

I've been hooked on the written word ever since I learned to write in first grade. I've written everything from short stories to screenplays, but my true passion has always been poetry.

I want to share my knowledge about poetry and help you explore your poetic voice. I'm also very excited to share my own poetry with you and the personal growth it has brought me.

Let's get started!

They Had Read Mefrom "The Emissary"

I woke up this morning and found out

That they had read me.

And I didn't know if they loved it or hated it

Or if they would ever want to read

What had yet to be written

But for a moment

For a tiny brief moment

I could believe that

I exist.

My books

I published three books of poetry in Israel: "Mountains and Hills" (2018, published by "Self-Publishing  – Publishing House." Editor: Yoav Gilboa), "The Emissary" (2020, published by "Self-Publishing – Publishing House." Editor: Yoav Gilboa), and "Mad New World" (2022, published by "Catharsis." Editor: Noa Shabtai)

Snir Peleg, "Snir Peleg's World of Books"

"A young poet who has something to say and who is worth getting to know and being exposed to his poems."

Dr. Ilan Berkovich, "Haaretz"

"The poet does a good job of describing the break that happened between him and the world in real time and as a first-hand witness, and not as someone who watched things from the side."
Regarding "Mad New World"

Yoav Gilboa, publisher of "Catharsis" publishing house

"Sagi as a poet appeals to many ages of poetry readers, but the heart of his writing lies in representing a central voice in a generation that has just become an independent adult... this voice is critical in this period."
