The Emissary

My second book (2020, published by "Self-Publising – Publishing House.” Editor: Yoav Gilboa) focuses on political poetry that sheds light on significant conflicts in Israeli society before the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak. The book presents a dual perspective by shifting between the individuals in society and the overall society, thus exploring the interdependence between the two.

Moreover, the book delves into the poet's writing process and how it mirrors society through several arspoetic poems. It highlights the internal conflict a poet faces regarding personal responsibility towards the society in which they live.

אנשי הבדיל

פַּעַם הֶאֱמִינוּ כָּאן בְּכוּר הִתּוּךְ

בִּקְשׁוּ לִצְרֹב אֶת כֻּלָּנוּ זֶה לָזֶה,

וַאֲנַחְנוּ נִצְרַבְנוּ, צַלְּקוֹתֵינוּ חֲשׂוּפוֹת לְעֵינֵי כֹּל,

הִתּוּךְ לֹא הָיָה כָּאן, רָחוֹק מִזֶּה.

וּמֵאָז אֲנַחְנוּ אַנְשֵׁי בְּדִיל,

אַנְשֵׁי עוֹפֶרֶת, אַנְשֵׁי בַּרְזֶל,

כָּל מַשַּׁב רוּחַ מְאַיֵּם לְהַפִּיל

אֶת מִגְדַּל הַשֵּׁן שֶׁבָּנִינוּ עַל נַהֲרוֹת בָּבֶל.

אוּלַי נִפֹּל בַּיַּעַר מִבְּלִי שֶׁאִישׁ יִשְׁמַע,

אוּלַי נְבַקֵּשׁ לוֹמַר מִלִּים אַחֲרוֹנוֹת.

אַנְשֵׁי בְּדיל בּוֹכִים בִּדְמָמָה,

אַנְשֵׁי בַּרְזֶל מְבַקְּשִׁים נְקָמוֹת.

אוּלַי הָיִינוּ כְּמוֹ שֶׁמֶן וּמַיִם

וּמֵעוֹלָם לֹא יָכְלוּ אוֹתָנוּ לְהַרְכִּיב,

אֶת אַנְשֵׁי הַנְּחשֶׁת מִמֵּאָה שְׁעָרִים

וְאֶת יַלְדֵי הָאָרָד מִיָּפוֹ־תֵּל־אָבִיב,

אֶת נַעֲרֵי הָאָלוּמִינְיוּם מִקִּבּוּץ נַהֲלָל,

אֶת נַעֲרוֹת הַכַּסְפִּית מִמִּצְפֵּה רָמוֹן.

פַּעַם הֶאֱמִינוּ כָּאן בְּכוּר הִתּוּךְ,

וּבַמֶּה יַאֲמִינוּ אַנְשֵׁי הַבְּדִיל הַיּוֹם?
